That hot tub was a great idea in 2012. Now it's a cracked, leaking fibreglass monument taking up half the backyard — and it weighs several hundred pounds even empty. Our hot tub removal service handles the whole job across Greater Sudbury: disconnect, cut-down, carry-out and haul-away. You don't lift a thing.

Junk removal truck ready for hot tub removal in Sudbury

Hot tubs are one of the few jobs that genuinely can't be done with a truck and a friend. They don't fit through gates, they're too heavy to carry in one piece, and the shell has to be cut apart safely on site. Our crew brings the right tools, breaks the tub down into manageable sections, and hauls every piece — shell, frame, plumbing, cover and steps — in a single visit. Winter doesn't stop us either: we've pulled dead tubs out of snow-covered backyards across the Valley and the South End for years.

What we take

How pricing works

Hot tub removal is priced by size, access and condition — most standard tubs land in the $300–$600 range, with larger or difficult-access jobs (tight gates, decks built around the tub, hillside backyards) quoted individually. The quote covers disconnect, cut-down, hauling and disposal — one flat price agreed before we start cutting.

How it works

1. Book your quote — call (705) 555-0199 or send photos through the quote form. Photos of the backyard access and the tub's condition help us quote accurately.

2. We disconnect and cut down — we safely disconnect the tub, drain any remaining water, and cut the shell into sections on site.

3. We haul it all away — shell sections, frame, plumbing and cover loaded in one trip and disposed of responsibly.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to drain the hot tub first?

It helps, but it's not required. We can pump out remaining water on arrival. If the tub still has power connected, we'll coordinate a safe disconnect — for hardwired electrical, we recommend your electrician disconnects at the panel first.

Can you get a hot tub out if the gate is too narrow?

Yes — that's the normal situation, not the exception. We cut the shell into sections on site specifically so narrow gates, fences and tight side yards aren't a problem. The pieces go out; the fence stays intact.

What about the concrete pad underneath?

We can break up and haul away the pad as an add-on, or leave it in place if you're planning a patio or new deck. Just tell us when you book.

Do you remove hot tubs in winter?

Yes. Dead tubs don't get lighter in January, and snow doesn't change the process — we clear access, cut down and haul. Winter bookings are often faster to schedule.

Where does the old hot tub go?

Metal components are separated for recycling. Fibreglass shell sections go to the proper disposal facility — the landfill on Kingsway or the Hanmer landfill depending on the load.
